After a dropping a broken peice of a bolt down the spark plug hole and having to take the head off the engine to get it out, I have a question for those with more experience that I. The bike only ran for mabye half a second before the bolt stopped it. Upon inspecting the piston, there are marks where the threads of the bolt left impressions, however no damage was done to the outside edge of the piston. Also the same threas like impressions are around the bottom of the valve area, but none are on the actual valves. I've had a few auto mechanics look at it, and they say it should be fine to reuse sinse there is no damage to the piston or cylynder walls, but I'd like to know what some of you have to say. My parts will be here tomorrow, I can't wait to ger my savage running again.
